HydroVenture is a consortium of industry, space and research leaders that join forces to enable a fully integrated operational hydrology service to observe, monitor and forecast water resources on a global scale.
The water cycle is only partially studied and monitored.
Very few lakes, rivers, and streams worldwide (continental hydrology) are sufficiently instrumented to measure water levels. Networks for rivers and streams are also highly heterogeneous, with data being either scarce or not shared at all.
HydroVenture provides a new response by combining spatial data and in situ data to monitor continental hydrological systems in real time.
